MOAA Membership is open to active duty, National Guard, Reserve, retired, and former commissioned officers and warrant officers of the uniformed services: Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, Coast Guard, Public Health Service, and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.  Memberships is also available for surviving spouses of deceased officers and many Chapters open Chapter Membership to all spouses of officers eligible to join MOAA.

Indian River Chapter takes a lead role in the recognition and honoring of our local veterans in a community with one of the largest per capita population of full and part time veteran residents. We advocate  for improvements that will not only help our veterans but our community as a whole. We  foster, encourage and facilitate partnership and communication among all veteran focused organizations in the county. Our members are not only veteran officers representing all the branches but also prominent and active residents of the city and county. Our chapter activities are planned in the spirit of camaraderie and cooperation. In addition to officers, Chapter membership is open to all spouses and, by invitation, associate members.  Indian River County Chapter is a participating member of the Florida Council of Chapters.

National membership offers the additional benefits. Members stay informed of legislative actions that impact service members and their families, and have the opportunity to influence the direction of these actions as part of a larger, stronger voice. Membership grants access to informational and advisory resources. Additionally, as a national member, you can take advantage of retail, vacation and insurance discounts.
